3.15 a.m. on Davidstraße, just a few meters from “Police Commissioner’s Office 15”: According to eyewitnesses, three men got into an argument. The war of words becomes almost deadly serious!
One of the men pulls out a knife and stabs his opponent. He collapses, covered in blood, on the asphalt next to parked cars. Horrified eyewitnesses call “110”, the officers from the nearby Davidwache run to the crime scene.

Davidstrasse is cordoned off with warning tape, the homicide squad begins its work, secures evidence and interviews witnesses – because the victim’s life is in danger!
It is still unclear who the man who is struggling with his life is, he has not yet been identified. But according to BILD information, two suspects can be caught very quickly: a Portuguese (23) and his alleged accomplice (32, from Guinea-Bissau).
One of the alleged stabbers was arrested near the scene of the crime, the other was taken to a hospital. A police spokesman: “We have so far assumed that the men got into a verbal argument before the crime.”

Again and again bloody stabbings with dead and seriously injured people occur in St. Pauli, Europe’s largest red-light and entertainment district.
That is why Hamburg was the first federal state to introduce gun ban areas in 2007. Since then it has been strictly forbidden to carry firearms, knives and irritant sprayers around the Reeperbahn and Hans-Albers-Platz. The police keep conducting raids: anyone caught armed faces criminal proceedings and a fine of up to 10,000 euros.
