Blood supplies remain low. However, blood donation is irreplaceable. In Brittany alone, 600 blood donations are needed every day to meet the needs of patients suffering from cancer, chronic illnesses or suffering haemorrhages. These needs are constant over a year, whereas in the current epidemic context, the arrival of donors, both fluctuating and insufficient, does not allow us to respond calmly to needs. Added to this are seasonal ailments, a combination of factors that puts the country in a worrying situation with regard to its blood donation reserves.
