As there is a shortage of blood, the French Blood Institute (EFS) invites donors to come and donate their blood on Tuesday 15 November and Wednesday 16 November, from 2.30pm to 7.00pm, at the Lamballe Town Hall.
The EFS cannot rely on its reserves for too long because the blood products have a short shelf life. 10,000 blood donations must be collected each day.
Weigh more than 50 kg
To do this, it is sufficient to make an appointment, even at the last moment, on dondesang.efs.sante.fr or the Blood Donation app. Here you will also find all the information on donations and places to donate.
To donate blood, you must be elderly From 18 to 70 years old and weigh at least 50 kg, have no flu symptoms and bring an identity document. A woman can donate blood four times a year, a man six times.

The EFS recalls that regular mobilization is essential to keep reserves at a stable level. The lifespan of the blood bags corresponds to 42 days for red blood cells and 7 days for platelets.
10,000 blood donations are needed every day in France. This figure rises to 600 in Brittany.
