blood donation, “a rare and partisan act” despite growing needs

Activities marking the celebration of World Blood Donor Day ended on June 30, 2022. “The voluntary and benevolent donation which, in the recent past was a simple and natural gesture in our country, has nowadays become a rare and partisan act while the need for safe blood products is growing”deplores Dr. Dékandji Mbaidedji Francine, Secretary of State for Public Health and National Solidarity, in the presence of the WHO representative in Chad, Jean Bosco Ndihokubwayo.

The 19th edition of the celebration of World Blood Donor Day is placed under the theme “giving blood, an act of solidarity. Join the movement and save lives”.
