On October 24, the United Nations will be 75 years old. The organization was founded shortly after World War II with the mission of upholding international peace, security and human rights. Last month, at the UN digital General Assembly, reflected on the anniversary.

Because of the anniversary, there has been one since Saturday exhibition in The Hague, where 75 relief workers, eyewitnesses, soldiers and activists talk about the impact of the United Nations on their personal lives. In collaboration with the National Committee on 4 and 5 May, the NOS will broadcast a special program on the history and value of the annual UN on Friday evening. The broadcast from the Peace Palace in The Hague is Friday at 8.30 pm can be seen on NPO 1.
