Blackpink Rosé topped iTunes Rankings in 51 Countries

SEOUL, March 14 (Yonhap) – K-pop girl band Blackpink’s Rosé took first place on iTunes charts in 51 countries with their latest solo song, YG Entertainment announced on Saturday.

According to the agency, “On the Ground”, featured on her first personal album, “R”, is number one on iTunes Top Songs in a number of countries including the United States, France and Thailand.

The song in English also reached the top of several local streaming charts. It had over 36 million views on YouTube yesterday morning and is expected to become the most viewed video within 24 hours of uploading, YG Entertainment reported.

Rosé, the second member of the group to go solo, released a two-track album, “On the Ground” and “Gone”, at 2pm Friday (local time).

“R” is the first letter of “Rosé”. The album marks a new stage in the career of the South Korean singer who began six years ago.
