It’s not a big surprise, but Blizzard Entertainment informed users ahead of the official announcement that the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War exclusive to Battle.net. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is running on Presented August 26 and gets presumably an open beta.

The email, which was obtained by Charlie Intel, further notes that additional details will be announced shortly. The text says: “Lies, deceit and the imminent threat of war surround you. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will reveal the truth in due time. Stay informed. We have additional briefings in store for your upcoming mission. ” In addition, it was announced in the email that the PC version is being redeveloped by Beenox. Activision’s studio has been working on several games in the series since Black Ops III (2015).

Artwork for Black Ops Cold War has also been revealed. These images show characters with a Soviet insignia on the left and an American on the right, presumably to show how the two sides were essentially equal during the height of the conflict. It is unclear whether these characters are part of the story.
