Lucknow District Court rejected journalist Siddique Kappan’s bail request. The court denied bail in a black money case registered by the enforcement management. The Supreme Court had granted bail to Siddique Kappan in the UAPA case taken by the UP police. The charge in the ED case is that the black money was raised for the Popular Front. The court held that the case was prima facie and therefore bail could not be granted under the Anti-Black Money Act
