The American singer Billy Joe Thomas is best known for the songs “Raindrops keep fallin ‘on my head” and “Hooked on a feeling”.
He turned 78 and died Saturday in Arlington, Texas. It is the agent who confirms the death, writes AFP.
In March, the artist said he had contracted lung cancer.

“Raindrops keep fallin ‘on my head” was inducted into the Grammy hall of fame in 2013. The song also won an Oscar statuette for best original song after appearing on the soundtrack of the major film “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid” in 1969.
