Laboratories and Reagents of Mexico (Birmex) reported that this Monday they distributed more than 170 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine contra covid-19 in seven entities of the country.
From its multipurpose plant located in the Cuamatla Industrial Park, municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, in the State of Mexico, the doses were delivered through two air transport routes.
With the support of the Army, the Air Force and the National Guard, the first route went to the state of Sinaloa, and the second to Yucatan and Tabasco.
By land, the biologicals were sent to San Luis Potosí. Regarding Mexico City, Querétaro and Tlaxcala, the local authorities went directly to the Birmex facilities for their vaccines.
It should be noted that all shipments were guarded from Birmex’s central warehouse of finished products to their destination “with the intervention of 248 elements, 24 escort vehicles and two aircraft.”
