BioWare and EA discontinue development of Anthem revision – Gaming – News

BioWare and EA have discontinued Anthem Next development. BioWare says it will be fully focused on developing the upcoming Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. The current version of Anthem will remain playable online.

“In the spirit of transparency, we wanted to share that we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our new development work on Anthem,” writes producer Christian Daley in a blog post. “However, we will continue to keep Anthem running as it is today.” Daley writes, among other things, that the outbreak of the new coronavirus and working from home had an impact on the productivity of BioWare developers.
