Wesley Sneijder’s biography is selling well, but the figures could have been much higher if the book had not been massively shared online. Marieke Derksen of Inside publishing is disappointed.
“We have also regretted that the book by Wesley Sneijder is distributed illegally,” Derksen told Algemeen Dagblad. “The publishing house works closely with the BREIN Foundation, which detects and combats copyright infringement and abuse.”
“Fortunately, both the paper version of the book and the e-book are selling extremely well. The book was published on Saturday and we have already decided to reprint the book today.”
The biography written by Kees Jansma has been in stores since Saturday. The record international of the Dutch national team (134 international matches) talks candidly about, among other things, his exorbitant spending pattern, the failed European Championship in 2012 and the relationship with Yolanthe.
