Billie Lourd paid emotional tribute to mother Carrie Fisher on Instagram seven years after her death.

Billie Lourd (31) celebrated the death of her mother Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) on December 27th in a detailed Instagram post reminiscent of the actress. Seven years have passed since her mother’s death and each anniversary brings “a different version of my grief,” Lourd wrote, adding: “Sometimes I feel anger, some I cry all day, some I feel “I feel distant and empty, some I feel nothing, some I feel guilty for feeling nothing, and some I feel all of these things at once. When I woke up this year I felt grateful.” The grief has permeated her life with a feeling of appreciation “that I never had before,” said the actress, who shared an old photo with her mother along with her touching lines.

Billie Lourd sends ‘love to all who mourn’

She enjoys every moment of joy as if it were her last. “Today I held my daughter as she fell asleep and tears of joy fell,” Lourd revealed. “I laughed at myself and then cried even harder because I laughed. I felt my mother’s presence like the warmth of the sun on my skin on a hot summer day.” She misses her mother every day, “but the cliché is also true: she is with me every day, she adds even more joy to my joyful moments. As I tell my son, she lives in the stars – and she definitely makes my life Sparkle. I send my love to all the mourners out there.”

“Star Wars” star Carrie Fisher died on December 27, 2016 at the age of 60. Last May, the actress, best known as Princess Leia in the popular sci-fi saga, received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Mom, you did it,” Lourd declared during the ceremony.

Visibly touched, she also spoke about her own children, son Kingston (3) and daughter Jackson (1). “I feel lucky that they will get to know a part of her through Leia, even though I won’t be able to meet my mother anymore,” said the actress. She could then proudly tell them that “the little lady on the TV” was her grandmother.
