The foundation that Bill Gates formed with his ex-wife is the largest philanthropic organization in the world. The foundation will increase charity by 50 percent above pre-pandemic levels, from US$6 billion per year to US$9 billion by 2026.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation focuses on charities to improve global health, gender equality, including education issues.

Collect CNN BusinessThursday (14/7), Microsoft founder and his ex-wife promised to donate most of their wealth to their foundation and other philanthropy.
The foundation was founded when the two were still together. Currently, after they divorced in May 2021, the two remain committed and work together as chairman of the foundation.
Bill Gates net worth is estimated at US$114 billion. According to the Bloomberg Billionaire index, he is the 4th richest person in the world. Most of his wealth comes from Microsoft stock.
Even so, Bill Gates admitted that he never intended to sit in the ranking of the richest people forever.
“I’m going down (from the list of the richest people) and finally off the list of the richest people in the world,” he said in a blog post.
“I have an obligation to return my resources (wealth) to society in a way that has a major impact on improving the quality of life. I hope other rich people will also take similar steps,” he said.
