Police and public prosecutor are looking for 57-year-old Mario Vercouillie from Diskmuide. He’s been missing since Friday night. The police say his disappearance is worrying. According to the Krant van West-Vlaanderen, a major search is underway.

The man’s children sounded the alarm when he didn’t come home on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the disappearance is considered “troubling” and a major search is underway. A federal police helicopter was called up. The search area is being systematically enlarged, but the search has yielded nothing so far, the Commissioner of the Local Police told the newspaper.
“Mario was last seen on July 31, 2020 at 10.41 am”, said the Polder police zone. “He does not have his identity card or mobile phone. Mario has an apparent age between 55 and 60 years, is between 1.70 and 1.75 meters, has a conscientious build, has blue / gray eyes and speaks with a West Flemish accent. ” The man also has an anchor tattoo on his wrist.
