Phil Spencer, the big boss of Xbox, has expressed himself in an interview with The Verge positive about the DualSense controller of the PlayStation 5. This is a revolutionary piece of technology, where Microsoft mainly sails with what we already know from the previous generation.
Spencer is very impressed with what Sony has done with the controller for the PS5. Not only the features of the controller, but the entire experience is very much to his taste. He puts this new experience in the same line as the Wii, which at the time caused a real ‘motion control’ madness when it came on the market.
“I applaud what they did with the controller, not actually for–well, I shouldn’t say not for the specifics of the controller, but more than just the specifics of the controller. I think for all of us in the industry, we should learn from each other and the innovation that we all push on, whether it’s distribution of business model like Game Pass, or controller tech, or the Wii back in the day, which clearly had an impact on us when we went off and did Kinect and Sony did the Move.”
