With the second single “All I Hear Is” from her upcoming EP “Loud & Bold” (released August 6, 21), rock musician JOSIE PAULUS lyrically and figuratively hits all mansplainers and inflated wanna-be intellectuals on the nose. In the accompanying music video, she gets into the boxing ring, becomes a cartoon character à la Harley Quinn and not only frees herself from prison, but also finally from silence and outdated clichés. The time to let men explain the world to you is over: “You think you’re so intellectu-all I hear is blah blah blah.”
“I’m done playing nice”: With this declaration of war, JOSIE PAULUS rolls up the dusty and male-dominated rock landscape from behind on her upcoming EP “Loud & Bold” and plays according to her own rules: explosive guitars, humming bass and lots of rock n Roll underline her self-celebrating texts, which she brings loud and above all self-confidently to her audience. Stadium-ready pop hooks meet dirty grunge sound and the classic style of the 70s – à la JANIS JOPLIN, PATTI SMITH and COURTNEY LOVE.
Josie’s texts remain the hammer and stand for one thing above all: female empowerment. Always with a pinch of self-irony, she sings about annoying types who take themselves too full, cheers the stadium crowds that are definitely waiting for them in better times, and makes it unmistakably clear to the object of her desire that she still loves herself the most .

After their country debut album “Green” (2018) it was clear: It takes more than an acoustic guitar to get the message “Loud & Bold” to the point. Hundreds of gigs and several experiences later, JOSIE PAULUS and her band herald a steep genre change. With “Loud & Bold” she no longer makes compromises. The new EP by JOSIE PAULUS will be released digitally and on record on August 6th, 2021 with a total of six songs.
