– “I hope you remember together. We will show that there is light in the dark and heal it.”

After setting a tragic record with the cumulative death toll of Corona 19 in the United States exceeding 500,000, President Joe Biden held a memorial event after giving a public speech at the White House on the 22nd (local time).

President Biden said that day, “(the United States) lost more lives than any other country on the planet,” and “I will remember each individual and the life they lived in front of a massive death.” Next, referring to the Corona 19 deaths, he expressed his condolences, saying, “They say they were ordinary Americans, but they weren’t. All the people we lost were extraordinary.”

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris appeared together at the southern front door of the White House at sunset, lit 500 candles in honor of the victims, and had a time to silence. This is about a month after a memorial service was held at the Lincoln Memorial Hall in Washington DC on the day before the inauguration ceremony of the president.

In his speech, President Biden comforted the people by sharing his experience of losing his family. President Biden lost his first wife and daughter in a sudden car accident in the past, and the eldest son, Bo Biden, died of cancer first. President Biden said, “I know the feelings of the people left behind.” At the same time, he said, “As a nation, I cannot accept this cruel fate,” he said, “we will laugh again.”

On this day, the White House announced its intention to hoist early to all federal agencies and military units at home and abroad for five days this week in accordance with President Biden’s instructions. White House spokesman Jen Saki added at the briefing that this was “to commemorate a sore milestone” and “to emphasize the scale of the sacrifices of the American people and their families across the country.”

Meanwhile, Anthony Pouch, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the United States, criticized the occurrence of 500,000 Corona 19 deaths because of the `political division`.

“Even in the best circumstances (the pandemic) would have been an incredibly serious problem,” said Pouch. “It’s been the worst thing that has happened in this country with regard to public health for over 100 years.”
