Biden seems to beat Sanders again in primaries on ‘Big Tuesday’ | NOW

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden again seems to beat his direct competitor Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primaries. Biden is in the lead in three of the six states that voted on during ‘Big Tuesday’.

According to various American media, Biden is in the lead in Michigan, Missouri and Mississippi, the states where the most electors can be won. We are still waiting for the results of Idaho, North Dakota and Washington. In total there are 352 electors to distribute.

Biden, vice president under former president Barack Obama, is booking a new victory in the battle for who will become the Democratic presidential candidate. Last week Biden also won during Super Tuesday, when fourteen states went to the polls at the same time.

Biden has already managed to get the centrist part of the Democrats behind him. Former presidential candidates such as Kamala Harris supported the former vice president.

To win the presidential nomination of the Democratic camp, a candidate must have 1,991 electors behind him. A total of 3,979 delegates can be won.

Both presidential candidates canceled a campaign meeting on Tuesday in the US state of Ohio because of the corona virus. More election meetings are expected to be canceled in the coming period.
