Biathlete Evgeny Sidorov won gold in the 20 km individual race at the Spartakiad of the Strongest.
Sidorov avoided misses on four shooting stages and showed a time of 54 minutes 10.9 seconds. Belarusian Anton Smolsky took second place (0 misses, lag – 27.7 seconds), and Vasily Tomshin closed the top three (1 miss, +29.3 seconds).
Daniil Serokhvostov was fourth (2 penalties, +33.9 seconds). Olympic medalist Eduard Latypov (3 penalties, +50.7), who earlier won the sprint and pursuit at the Spartakiad, is fifth. Belarusian athletes compete at the Spartakiad outside the main standings.
Biathlon competitions at the Spartakiad are held in Zlatoust.
