One of the health problems most often caused by extreme diets that are done carelessly is the formation of gallstones. Other problems that also often occur are increased uric acid, impaired liver function, easy feeling cold, hair loss, constipation, and decreased muscle mass.

Dr Samuel said the extreme diet will make the body take protein as a source of energy. This then causes a decrease in muscle mass. What is dangerous, there are muscles in many places in the body, including in the heart.

“Be careful, heart muscle protein is attracted, over time the heart muscle lacks protein, it is very dangerous, especially if the extreme diet is carried out under 400 calories (per day),” explained Dr. Samuel.
