Beware, eye twitching can be a symptom of being infected with Covid-19

Some individuals infected with Covid-19 complain of acute abdominal pain and abdominal pain when infected with the disease.

A study from Beijing analyzed all clinical Covid-19 studies and case reports related to digestive problems published between December 2019 and February 2020. They found that 2.2 to 6 percent of patients experienced abdominal pain.

Abdominal pain associated with the coronavirus is often accompanied by other signs such as headaches and fatigue.

In some cases, infected individuals also experience a sore throat and loss of appetite.

3. Loss of appetite

In addition to other gastrointestinal symptoms, many individuals infected with Covid-19 also frequently report a loss of appetite.

According to the same Beijing study, about 39.9 to 50.2 percent of individuals experience a loss of appetite.

The ZOE Covid study also found that one in three individuals with Covid-19 lose their appetite, which causes them to skip meals.

Loss of appetite can be caused by feeling too sick or too tired to prepare or eat. For adults over 35 years of age, loss of appetite usually lasts for an average of four days but can take a week or more for complete recovery.

In individuals younger than 35 years, loss of appetite usually lasts two to three days and they get better within a week.
