We are investigating reports of an issue where you may receive the error “This operation could not be completed” when trying to install mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
- Verify the Twitter account of Bethesda to see if there are planned maintenance or outages.
- Run a network connection test. Instructions on how to do it can be found here for PlayStation 4 and here para Xbox One.
- If you are connected to the Internet wirelessly, try switching to a wired connection and see if there are any improvements.
- If there is another network available, try connecting to it and see if there are any improvements.
- Restart your home network by turning off your modem and / or router.
- Manually turn off the console and unplug it for 1 to 2 minutes.
- To ensure a hard reset, we recommend that you unplug the power connections from the modem or router and wait a few minutes before plugging them back in and turning the device back on.
Xbox One players can also try the following to resolve this issue.
- Launch the game, sign out of your Xbox account, and then sign in again.
- Follow these steps to clear your system cache:
- Apaga tu Xbox One.
- Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console’s power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of the console.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power brick to your Xbox One and turn it on.
Uninstall and reinstall the game on your Xbox One
- Clear the game reserve space:
- Press the button [Xbox] to return to Home.
- On the panel home screen, scroll right and select the menu My games and apps
- Under the “Games” category, highlight the Skyrim Special Edition app.
- Press the Menu button [Inicio] and select the option “Manage game “.
- Navigate to the right where the Saved Data list is and highlight Reserved Space.
- Press the Menu button [Inicio] and select the Clear reserved space option.
- If the reserved space is not cleared, restart the console and retry steps 1-6.
