FC Rosengård will face BK Häcken in the Swedish Cup semi-final this weekend. FC Rosengård’s Emma Berglund is tagged on to meet her old team – which was then Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC.
– They seem to have put the team together very well considering the big change and adapted well, it seems, says Emma Berglund.

At the end of December, a bomb went off in Football Sweden. The Swedish champions Kopparbergs / Göteborg announced that they are closing down their elite operations and withdrawing from the Damallsvenskan. After several trips back and forth, it finally landed in the team becoming part of BK Häcken.
Emma Berglund left the Gothenburg club just before the shock news came.
– It turned out the way it did and I’m glad I’m where I am, like, says Emma Berglund.
What will it be like to face your “old team”?
– Exciting. Maybe a little sad that we will not meet in a final, but now the draw was like this and I think it will be a good match on Sunday.
She still has contact with the former teammates who stayed at the club during the winter turbulence.
– I have many nice friends left in Gothenburg who still play in the team. It is always fun and interesting to listen to how it feels now that they have been through so much. I’m glad theirs would have been as good as it got.
What is your impression of BK Häcken as a club?
– I really have no more impression than what you have seen in the media. The players seem to think it is a nice club and a good organization, so there is probably nothing negative there. It will be fun to go there too, if it is not at Valhalla nowadays, it will still be fun to meet everyone and get to measure themselves against them, says Emma Berglund.
On Thursday, FC Rosengård meets Bayern Munich in the second match of the quarterfinals. FCR fell 3-0 in the first meeting.
