Benzia signs at DFCO, Rayan Philippe to Toulon

This Thursday, the Algerian international Yassine Benzia (25 years old) was in Dijon to settle the last details in order to engage with the DFCO. An agreement was reached during the day between the player, Lille and the DFCO for a transfer. This arrival, suspected for several days, has just been formalized by the Dijon club.

Benzia, who will wear the number 10, signed up until June 2023 in Dijon. Before arriving in Burgundy, the midfielder, trained in Lyon, had been loaned last summer by his club, Lille, to Olympiakos (Greece). But, in almost 6 months, the environment has appeared only eight times with the Greek club without managing to win.

In our columns, Saturday January 25, President Olivier Delcourt confirmed the interest of the Dijon club for the former Lille. “We are in discussions for a loan with option to buy. We have been interested for a long time. He’s a very good player who wants to come, who doesn’t play a lot at Olympiakos. We must find an agreement with Lille where he has a year and a half of contract. I hope that by the start of the week, Monday or Tuesday, he will be in Dijon. Contrary to what was said at the time, it was a transfer that was concluded and not a loan.

In addition, as announced by Goal.com, Rayan Philippe (19) will sign his first professional contract with the DFCO. In the process it should, according to our information, be loaned to Toulon, the last of National. The native of Nice is also in contact with Niort (Ligue 2).

A major element of the Dijon reserve, Rayan Philippe has 30 minutes of playing time in Ligue 1, against Bordeaux (0-2) on August 24.
