Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise the role of superhero Doctor Strange. The actor enters the cast of Spider-Man 3 strengthen, reports Deadline Thursday. Tom Holland again plays the title role and Jon Watts directs the superhero film.
Cumberbatch already played the part in Doctor Strange in Avengers: Infinity War. According to sources, he will be the new one first Spider-Manmovie and then prepare to shoot Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the sequel to the 2016 film.
Doctor Strange performs in the third Spider-Manmovie mentored Peter Parker, a similar role played by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in the first film.
The recordings of the third and still untitled Spider-Manmovie have already started. The film should be released in 2021.
In the Spider-Manseries previously appeared Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
