A Belarusian activist has been found dead in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The man was reported missing yesterday.
It’s Vitali Shisjov. He was the head of an organization that helps Belarusians to flee. That organization’s website, Belarusian House in Ukraine, states that they are helping to find housing and work for people who have fled the regime. They also ensure that people receive legal aid.
His partner had reported him missing after he didn’t come home from a run. A Belarusian journalist yesterday tweeted that, according to friends, Shisjov has been followed lately.
