Alyaksandr Lukashenka won the elections, and the EU does not recognize this result

According to official data, in the recent presidential elections in Belarus Alyaksandr Lukashenka he collected about 80 percent of the votes, and Swiatłana Cichanouska won over 10 percent. Many Belarusians believe that the results have been falsified. The European Union also takes the position that the elections in Belarus were neither fair nor conducted in accordance with democratic standards. The community also condemned the violence with which Alexander Lukashenka initially suppressed protests against him.
