At ten, it’s crazy how tall you are, as tall as the world is beautiful and the earth is round. We celebrated so many discoveries, like so many celestial festivals. We walked pyramids all the way to Alaska, and we moved a lot of mountains in passing. It takes faith and sand castles, after each tide, to bring ten years of music to life!
So there we are. At the height of his ten years, we have learned everything, seen everything, imagined everything, tasted everything, but there is still everything to do, everything to learn, everything to see, everything to imagine, and continents of good things to still discover.
We made for ourselves an incomparable kingdom, populated by princes and princesses, faithful friends and companions of gold, black and white keyboards and multicolored prints. The world has been decorated with ignored provinces and invented islets.
There are notes all over the walls, and up to the sky, on our children’s drawings.
Each note is a pinch of joy, a small hammer on a rope of happiness, a burst of laughter or sadness delicately whispered in the ear of a pipe.
What a collection of adventures, ten years of Bel Air! that’s as many concerts as initiatory trips. It gives the best memories, those who will tell us that paradise once existed. Our caves, our cabins, our attics, our Indian camps and our dollhouses, scattered around Chambéry, are wisely arranged, between each edition, in the wandering soul of the festival organizers. They have reopened their treasure chest for this 2021 vintage with the sole ambition of offering as many beautiful and good and tasty moments as we can fit into a six-day program. Because at ten years old, we don’t live in the past but in future explorations.
