Now that the spread of the coronavirus in the US seems almost inevitable, spokesmen for the top health authorities in the country have said that we must prepare for possible local outbreaks. While the news about the rapid spread of cases makes us feel a certain degree of helplessness, there are many things we can do to protect ourselves and that apply not only to this new pathogen of which there are still few cases in the country, but also to a lot most prevalent on American soil at the moment: that of influenza.

And there is one thing that definitely won’t help anything: panic. Keep in mind that for now the evidence indicates that, although it is a fairly contagious virus, for now it does not seem very lethal: Most people successfully recover from the disease it causes: Covid-19.
