BCCI Plans to Launch T10 League in India After IPL: Secretary Jai Shah

Mumbai: News that BCCI is preparing for a new test in cricket after IPL. Reports are that BCCI is planning to start a T10 league considering the popularity of T10 cricket in the world.

There are successful T10 leagues in many parts of the world. The preliminary discussions have started under the leadership of BCCI Secretary Jai Shah. The league will start with maximum care to ensure that the income and interest of the IPL does not decrease.

Sponsors and those in the industry have shown great interest in the new league. By inviting new franchises for the T10 league, BCCI can generate huge revenue. Currently, leading players from different countries are playing in various T10 leagues including the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Many of them are also playing in the IPL.

Currently there are no T10 leagues in India. BCCI-contracted players cannot participate in external T10 leagues or T20 leagues.
