BBC Arabic reports: Family of three slain in Iraq attack, new ruling by Egyptian Prosecution Office on Shenouda child’s case.

The British newspaper The Times reported that US Vice President Kamala Harris’ desire to visit the house in which she lived with her grandfather in the sixties of the last century, led to the start of an extensive search by citizens for this property.

Harris, who is on a nine-day trip to three African countries, is scheduled to visit Zambia at the weekend, the 18th visit by senior US officials to the African continent since January this year.

Harris lived in Zambia as a child with her grandfather, an Indian civil servant who was posted there to help settle refugees, after the country gained independence.

The American newspaper The Times quoted the US embassy in Lusaka as saying that Harris appealed to citizens to help her locate her grandfather’s house.

The vice president’s trip to Africa is expected to strengthen U.S. partnerships across the continent on “security and economic prosperity,” according to a statement from her office.
