The Indiana Pacers announced Tuesday that Caris LeVert has undergone successful surgery for a left kidney tumor.
10 days ago, a routine exam revealed a small cancerous mass on the 26-year-old’s organ.
“No further treatment will be necessary. Caris is expected to make a full recovery. He will be absent indefinitely, ”the Pacers wrote on their website.
LeVert was involved in the super deal that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets on January 14.
The Columbus native was drafted in 2016 by the Pacers, but he never played a game with the club, making his debut for the Nets instead.
In 2020-2021, he averaged 18.5 points, six assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in 12 games with the Brooklyn roster.
