Telekom Baskets Bonn remain unbeaten at the top of the basketball Bundesliga.
In the top game, the Rhinelanders won impressively at the Hamburg Towers with 101:72 (53:38) and achieved their sixth hit in the sixth game.
Despite the second consecutive defeat, Hamburg is still in playoff position with a 4:3 win record.
Coach Tuomas Iisalo’s guests dominated the Towers at will and in the second quarter they inexorably pulled away. Bonn was even ahead at times with 31 points (83:52/30th minute). The best shooter was TJ Shorts pro Baskets with 24 points.
Even the FC Bayern Munich had no problems with the Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels. Almost two days after the Euroleague defeat against Olympiakos Piraeus (71:82), the guests won 82:69 (47:26) and achieved their sixth victory in the seventh league game. Agostino Rubit obtained the best result for the team coached by Andrea Trinchieri with 23 points. The only 16-year-old Ivan Kharchenkov was also used for the Munich team for the first time. The German youth international scored five points.
Thanks to Cameron Hunt’s 31 points, the Würzburg Baskets defeated the Rostock Seawolves 97:87 (52:44) and inflicted the third consecutive defeat on the promoted team.
