Barra’s disregard for Argel Fuchs leads to Chapecoense’s historic win in SC.

Barra ignored the arrival of a new coach, at Chapecoense, and with great authority beat the home team, 2-1, on the night of this Thursday (23).

The result put the team from Balneário Camboriú in the semifinal stage of the Santa Catarina Championship, in a confrontation against Brusque, which surpassed Concórdia.

The game

Needing the result to Chapecoense, in need of turning an unfavorable score in 2 to 0, he went on top of the Barra team.

In fact, he started to move much earlier, in the dressing room at Dr. Hercílio Luz, in Itajaí, when he dismissed coach Bruno Pivetti while still at the stadium.

With the ball rolling, Verdão do Oeste, in the best Algiers Fuchs style, went for Barra. In 20 minutes he had already touched a ball on the crossbar, given other grips on the Balneário Camboriú team, in addition to scoring the goal.

Barra balanced the actions of the game and also endangered Airton’s goal, at least, in two arrivals. Pescador went into the break with more chances created than the home team. Nothing, however, that changed the score until the break.

Second time there and here

The second half started better than the first ended: Argel promoted the entry of Alisson Farias in the midfielder Neto’s vacancy. Momentarily eliminated, Chape had to throw himself into the attack.

It even worked. Ribamar received it facing the area, took it to his left foot and finished: the goalkeeper from Barra stretched and made a beautiful save.

Barra, with an eye on the space given up, managed to scare Chapecoense: first with Alam James, who hit the post after a rebound in the Verdão area.

Next stop

The semifinals start on Saturday (25th), starting at 4:30 pm, where Criciúma and Hercílio Luz begin to duel for a place in the final. The duel takes place at the Heriberto Hülse stadium, the stadium of the team with the worst campaign.

The return game is scheduled for the other Wednesday, at a time to be confirmed by FCF.

Barra faces Brusque on Sunday. The game will be in Itajaí – where Pescador plays its games – next Sunday. The return match will take place on Thursday, on a date to be confirmed by SC’s top football entity.
