A rescue operation is underway for two people south of Altevatnet, Troms police district reports.
The persons must be weatherproof in the terrain.
– The weather is very bad in the area with poor visibility and a lot of wind/precipitation. Volunteers from the Red Cross aid corps are assisting, the police report.
It is the Norwegian Armed Forces who have asked the police for assistance, and the two weatherproof ones are on duty.
– We have their position. They are stuck in the mountains in Rohkunborri National Park, so now it’s just a matter of getting them out, says operations manager Karl Erik Thomassen in the Troms police district.
