Barcelona in El Clásic crushed Real 4: 0, so the Catalans are third in the table

In the 29th round of the Spanish league, Barcelona’s footballers outclassed Real in Madrid 4-0 and jumped to third place in the table. Forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in his first Clásic shone with two goals and assistance.

Real leads the table by a nine-point lead over Seville, which drew without goals with San Sebastian and played a tie for the third time in a row.

From the beginning, Barca played the home team, which missed the injured best scorer Benzema. In the 29th minute, Aubameyang opened the scoring head after the center of Dembélé, and the French winger prepared the second goal for the stopper Araúj in nine minutes from the corner.

Even after the change of sides, Real made big mistakes in defense. At first, Torres did not change a single escape, but in the 47th minute he hit Aubameyang’s heel, who increased to 4: 0 five minutes later.

After arriving from Arsenal in January, the Gabonese gunner scored nine goals for Barcelona in 11 competitive matches. Aubameyang scored against Real in five competitive duels in a row, which no other player in the 21st century has succeeded in doing.

The Catalans stretched the league series without defeat for 13 matches and defeated the main rival after six competitive duels and for the first time since March 2019. Real came out empty after eight rounds.

The Seville team did not lose the league for the fifteenth time in a row. After the change of sides, however, the home team were very lucky, because Porto hit the bar and Silva hit the crossbar. Real Sociedad thus remained sixth by two points behind Betis, who also drew 0-0 in Vigo.
