The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo revealed that Barcelona has entered the race to sign Belgian midfielder Amado Onana from Everton, amid interest from many of the top clubs in the Premier League to sign him.

She explained that Barcelona will face strong competition from Arsenal to win the services of the Belgian midfielder, due to the Spanish coach’s desire to sign him, as he included him on his list to strengthen the Gunners’ ranks.

Onana is considered one of the main pillars of Everton, under the leadership of coach Sean Dyche, in his second season with the Toffees.

It is expected that the Everton team will ask for an amount ranging between 70 to 90 million pounds sterling to abandon the services of the player it signed from Lille in the summer of 2022, and he was able to attract the attention of several clubs, led by Barcelona and Arsenal, in addition to Chelsea and Manchester United earlier.

Onana played 21 matches this season with Everton in various competitions, during which he scored two goals and provided one assist.
