On Monday, Barbra Streisand bluntly asked Melissa McCarthy on Instagram if the actress had been taking the drug, sparking immediate outrage.
After McCarthy shared photos of herself attending the Center Theatre Group’s annual gala in Los Angeles with Adam Shankman over the weekend, her followers complimented her outfit and her seemingly slimmed-down figure, but Streisand took a different approach, commenting, “Give him my regards, did you take Ozempic?” Streisand’s comment was deleted but not before people who saw it accused her of being disrespectful and inconsiderate. In calling out Streisand, many commenters pointed out that how McCarthy lost weight is no one’s business.
