A “vampire killer” is said to have stabbed his mother and drank her blood because she refused to give him money, they say.

Thabang Mosoane, 24, has pleaded guilty in court to taking the life of 53-year-old Kedisaletse Elizbeth Moswane on May 9.

The once “problematic child” was arrested at her family’s home in the town of Koster in South Africa’s northwestern province after his twin brother saw him drink their mother’s blood.

Police arrived and found Kedisaletse’s body with multiple stab wounds as she lay lifeless in a hut on the property with her son, covered in blood.

Mosoane is said to have drunk his mother’s blood, vampire-style, from a stab wound to her neck after his request for cannabis money was turned down.

The Monster told the Koster District Court today (Monday, May 30): “I would like to plead guilty and close the matter.”

Mosoane’s two aunts were reportedly among those who packed the courtroom’s public gallery and were often stared at by their nephew.

Outside the court, they demanded that Mosoane be jailed behind bars for life for “committing one of the worst sins in the country.”

Aunt Naomi Mosoane said: “He’s the one who killed his mother and drank her blood.

“The court must not even try to grant him bail. He has to go to prison for a long time.”

The family “do not expect to see him back in our lives,” Naomi added.

The killer’s other aunt, Bertha Motshabi, commented: “My sister will never be brought back to life because of his hands. He was a problematic kid.”

Thabo, the suspected blood drinker’s twin brother, “vowed never to accept Mosoane’s apology,” Bertha claimed.

Kedisaletse also leaves sons Bareng and Buti and daughter Baung, all of whom are grown.

Mosoane will return to court on July 7.

Meanwhile, a jealous husband has admitted to beheading his wife with a meat cleaver and then riding off on a motorbike with her severed head in a sack, according to police.

Phuong Ratha, 27, moved into a rented room in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with his partner Ly Srey Nouch, 23, and their one-year-old son, but was convinced she was seeing other men.

He is accused of attacking her and slitting her throat – out of jealousy she cut her throat with the huge kitchen knife last Friday evening (May 27).
