PRFMNEWS – The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is optimistic that in 2030 there will be no more transmission of cases AIDS.

Acting (Plt.) Guardian Bandung, Yana Mulyana explained, the Bandung City Government has developed a strategy so that Bandung free from case transmission AIDS in 2030 to come.

Bandung City Government together with other stakeholders are consolidating to reduce the number of transmissions. Including improving the quality of care for PLWHA (People with HIV AIDS).

“The quality of care for PLWHA needs to be improved, especially the availability of ARV drugs that are very much needed. How can drugs be always available and more importantly can be accessed by PLWHA,” he said at the commemoration of the day. AIDS world level Bandung, at the Pacific Hotel, Wednesday 22 December 2021.

Yana Mulyana explained that so that PLWHA can live a quality life, they need to get better care. Mental and physical health must be maintained well so that they remain productive.

“The strategy must be held consistently. Because this is a national policy line and Indonesia has a target that 2030 is epidemic free AIDS. That means including Bandung which case HIV AIDS need to be addressed,” he explained.

Even though this is the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, Plt. The mayor explained the government’s efforts with stakeholders to end the epidemic AIDS keep walking.
