The 30 players nominated for the Ballon d’Or are known! This Friday, October 8, the contenders for the mythical individual trophy were unveiled. The 170 voters now have until October 24 to cast their vote: the winner will be known on November 29, during a ceremony at the Théâtre du Chatelet. If France Football has reserved some surprises in the list of nominees, the favorites are there.

Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Jorginho… This 65th edition of the Ballon d’Or is one of the most open of the last decade, with several players capable of lifting the prestigious trophy on November 29. All are present in the list of 30, and joined by some surprises.

Simon Kjaer, defender of AC Milan and Denmark, is undoubtedly rewarded for his heroic gesture of assistance on his teammate in selection Christian Eriksen, at the Euro, and appears in the list. Gerard Moreno, Europa League winner with Villarreal, Lautaro Martinez, who lifted the Copa America with Argentina, or Phil Foden, who really exploded at Manchester City, were not necessarily expected in the list.
