Wales are preparing to compete in the 2022 World Cup. The Dragons are in Group B in this event along with England, Iran and the United States. They will begin their career by facing the United States on November 21st.
Gareth Bale will lead Wales as captain in football’s biggest event. The 33-year-old played an important role in leading Wales to the 2022 World Cup.
He scored two goals and an assist in the middle playoff. In total, Bale has scored 39 goals in 108 appearances for Wales.
At the 2022 World Cup, Bale must really focus on Wales. He was forbidden to channel his hobby of playing golf while he was in Qatar.
This was revealed by Wales manager Rob Page. This is due to the tight schedule for the 2022 World Cup to be held in the middle of the European championship competition season.
“Yes. No golf. We’re there to work. In the past I’ve probably had Gareth, Kieffer Moore or Aaron Ramsey come up to me and say, ‘What’s the plan for tomorrow afternoon? Is there a meeting?’ said Page quoted by Talksport.
“I’d say, ‘No, there’s no meeting, so if you want nine holes, go play.’
“But when you have a week to build a team. We won’t have enough time out there. Every four days there’s a match. It’s relentless.”
Bale really loves golf. When inside real Madrid, it is even considered more focused on golf than football. This hypothesis emerged when Bale’s performances dropped dramatically in his last few seasons with Real Madrid.
Bale also sparked controversy after leading Wales to qualify for the 2020 European Cup. He had explained the Welsh flag with the words Wales, Golf, Madrid.
Many parties believe that writing is Bale’s order of priority. The effect of Bale’s actions was booed by Madrid fans.
