The pupils of the Einstein high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze collected 94 packets of chocolate for the 1st Reg and the hospital staff.
The students of the CVL (High School Life Council) of Einstein high school, assisted by the establishment’s Defense Cadets, wanted to lead a solidarity project in this difficult period. An idea came to them quite quickly, to organize a collection of chocolates for the benefit of good souls who, in the shadows, ensure our well-being.
People particularly mobilized at the end of the year. It was decided! The beneficiaries of the collection would be the nursing staff of the Bagnols hospital center, hailed for their commitment to the fight against Covid-19.
It is also a question of thanking the soldiers of the 1st REG of Laudun, mobilized on Operation Sentinel to ensure the safety of the French during the end of year celebrations. To generate enthusiasm within the school, all the classes were put in competition with a prize for the winning division, in partnership with the MDL (Maison des lycéens), an association of students of the establishment.
Results of the collection, 94 packets of chocolates that were collected. The students, accompanied by Ms. Vinci, senior education advisor referent to high school life, and Mr. Ripoli, deputy headmaster, handed in their collection this Friday, December 18 in front of the Hospital Center.
Half of the donations were offered to hospital caregivers, in the presence of Ms. Brunier, deputy director; the other half was given to two non-commissioned officers of the 1er REG who had traveled for the occasion. The collection for the hospital was distributed to the caregivers the same afternoon.
The one for legionaries will leave this Monday in order to arrive at their destination before December 24. This great action was made possible thanks to the involvement of Cassandre (vice-president of the CVL), Thomas (president of the MDL), Louise, Missipsa, Tristan, Elyot, Juliette (members of the CVL) and also to Viktoria, Amandine and Fatima (Defense Cadets).
