bad! Russia Threatens England, Legitimately Becomes a Target

Jakarta, CNBC IndonesiaRussia threaten England. The country says that the kingdom must be prepared for the fact that its military tanks will be burnt if sent to the battlefield in Ukraine.

This is the aftermath of British Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak’s promise to Ukraine to send British Challenger 2 to Kyiv. The British Challenger 2 is known as one of the four deadliest battle tanks in the world.

“Special military operations will continue,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, using Moscow’s term for the Ukrainian strike quoted AFPMonday (16/1/2023).

“These tanks are on fire and will burn,” he said.

He also emphasized that Britain’s plans, including other Western countries to send tanks, would not change anything. He thinks this will only prolong the war.

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said the same thing. He called the armored vehicle a legitimate target for a Russian attack.

“As we have said before, weapons supply is a legitimate target for Russian strikes,” Zakharova was quoted as saying BBC.

The plan is for Downing Street to deliver the tanks in the coming weeks. The announcement came at the same time as Britain’s plans to train the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“As the Ukrainian people approach their second year living under relentless Russian bombardment, the PM is dedicated to ensuring Ukraine wins this war,” a Downing Street spokesperson said.

“The PM is clear that a long and static war only serves Russia’s goals. That’s why he and his ministers will be talking to our allies around the world in the coming days and weeks to increase the pressure on Putin and secure a better future for Ukraine,” he added.

The war between Russia and Ukraine started in February 2022. Until now, the shooting is still going on.

After previously, Russia and Ukraine were reported to have been involved in brutal fighting in Soledar, Bakhmut, Eastern Ukraine, in the latest news the Kremlin said it attacked almost all Ukrainian cities on Saturday. Russia fired two waves of missiles, hitting targets across the country including the capital, Kyiv, and the northeastern city of Kharkiv.

Moscow also demolished apartments in the city of Dnipro. Adviser to the regional governor, Natalia Babachenko, said 30 people were confirmed dead so far and more than 30 were hospitalized, including 12 in serious condition.
