Baby K is a well-known singer and rapper in Italy who almost every year has her summer hit. It is therefore very appreciated, even a little too much. On July 28, after one of her concerts, a fan insisted on having a picture with her so much that she injured her breast.
The Italian star ranted in a story on Instagram. Several fans recorded it and then put it together on YouTube as a single video. In it, she complains about Instagram accounts that post criticizing her and saying she refused to take a picture with a child at her last concert, August 1 in Battiti. She explains that it’s not her style and that she likes to take pictures with her fans because she likes to see them smile but that recently, on July 28, she had a very bad experience.
As she had just left the Teramo stage, the police opened the gates, letting fans through to her van. Being in the middle, she was quickly surrounded by children and sprained her ankle several times. “There were so many people, I had lots of kids grabbing my knees. I kept repeating: “Someone is going to get hurt, we can’t stay here”. But they didn’t care because the most important thing for them was to take a picture“. She denounces this habit that fans have of wanting to take a selfie at all costs, even if it means forgetting about safety.
The worst then happened. As she was trying to get out, a woman pressed her breast so hard that she injured it. “I had to go to the hospital because I had a breast trauma. Yesterday, I couldn’t even speak because I was in so much pain. The doctors told me that I had to cancel the rest of my round. All this while I waited 8 years to be able to do concerts abroad“, explains the 41-year-old artist with irritation and sadness.
Baby K clarifies that she did not make these stories to lament but to make the fans understand that they must be more careful about their safety. “This time it was me who hurt myself. I couldn’t move, talk or eat. Now it’s better but I feel very tired. Imagine if it was someone else who got hurt, I can already see all the mean things that would have been said about me“, she concluded.
On Wednesday August 2, the day after her storys, Baby K’s management confirmed on her Instagram that she will not be able to perform the rest of her concerts and that she was very disappointed.
