Baby died in Graz after being shaken: mother under suspicion – Austria

Graz – A 25-year-old from Graz shook her ten-month-old son so hard at the end of February that the boy died. As the police announced on Tuesday, the infant had to be resuscitated on Friday and died in the hospital a day later. The mother spoke of a sudden cardiac arrest. The post-mortem found that death from widespread cerebral edema “had most likely been caused by violent shaking”.
