Lack of teachers
On the shortage of teachers, the minister spoke as follows: “We are working to update the alternate rankings and to digitize them, which has never been done before. This will allow us to have the teachers we need and to be able to assign them more quickly. Let me say one thing about substitutes: if they have increased over time, it is because no competitions have been held. And certainly not from this government which, instead, has banned 78 thousand seats “.
New teaching from September
On distance teaching, Azzolina is clear: “Digital teaching will have a regulatory framework, we will define a standard. School leaders and teachers will be able to use it in a complementary way. But let’s just talk about secondary schools. “
In particular, on the new teaching that will be born from Covid-19, the minister thinks so: “Teaching is not just about frontal lessons and notionism. In September we will experiment with innovative forms of education that even in Italy some institutes have already been using for years and with satisfaction “.
It is not the first time that the minister has spoken on the debate concerning notionism.
