Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, revealed the details of the Ministry of Health’s warning about the presence of the Corona virus; Even with the low number of infections, the risk of cholera.

Taj El-Din said, during a telephone conversation with the media, Azza Mustafa, in the “Tahrir Hall” program broadcast on the “Sada El-Balad” channel, that the number of injured in Egypt is still very low. He explained that respiratory viruses are very numerous and exist; Noting that there is monitoring of existing viruses; In conclusion, their clinical manifestations are similar (sneezing – runny nose – cold), underlining that in many cases it is difficult to distinguish between corona infection and other infectious viruses; When the matter is mixed, the infected person can run a PCR test to find out what type of infection they have.

He stressed that we still need to take precautionary measures, and regarding syncytial virus, he stressed that it is widely present in children due to their admixture in more than one place, including school buses and classrooms; Thus, the child can transmit the infection to the father, mother and many family members.

He stressed that it is our duty to limit the spread of infectious viruses by adhering to precautionary measures and stressed that respiratory viruses have complications that increase in infants, adults over 65, and those with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

Regarding the spread of cholera in different countries, he stressed that Egypt has not recorded any infection with this disease existing in the world, which has not ended, stressing that this disease spreads in places where there is water pollution and food, as well as wars, emphasizing that this disease is very contagious and can cause severe diarrhea; And if the patient does not take proper treatment for this disease, it can lead to death.
