Authors from the region at the mainLit Festival

No more traveling? No never! Three authors from the region, Udo Pörschke, Barbara Wolf and Magnus Kuhn did not want to put up with it. Under the title “Words on the Road”, they take their listeners with them to distant countries, to fantastic events and travel adventures from earlier times, according to a press release by the authors.

As members of the Würzburg authors’ circle, they will read at the mainLit literature festival on Sunday, June 20, at 7.30 p.m. at Gut Wöllried 13 in Rottendorf, in compliance with hygiene rules.

Surprising twists

In her historical novel, Barbara Wolf (Karlstadt) sends the pioneer of chemistry “Johann Rudolph Glauber and the Philosopher’s Stone” on a journey of discovery. In the second part she will read short stories with surprising twists, including the oddity of integration.

Udo Pörschke (formerly Marktheidenfeld) initially follows in the footsteps of his grandfather beyond the end of the last war. Then he kidnaps the guests to Mexico. From own experience ?? he worked for a few years in Mexico DF ?? he allows exciting experiences to flow into his texts.

Magnus Kuhn (Würzburg) invites you to go on adventurous road trips. First, there is an obstacle-filled crossing of Germany in an ancient three-wheeled truck. He resurrects a station atmosphere of the 60s with unexpected insights.

Udo Pörschke and Barbara Wolf have already published short stories in the volumes “Allerhand … Gschichtli aus Mainfranken” by the Main-Spessart authors’ group.

The mainLit reading is scheduled to end at 9.30 p.m. In addition, visitors can have the books and CDs of the three authors signed on site.
